Q: If I buy both accessible and non-accessible tickets, will we be seated together?
A: We’ll do our best to seat groups together where possible. Accessible and non-accessible seats will be placed as close as possible, whilst wheelchair users and companions will always be seated together. Additional friends or family will be seated nearby, subject to availability

Q: How can I book a Blue Badge Parking space?

As parking capacity at our venues is limited, spaces will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. Please see below details of the accessible parking arrangements at each venue.
- Blue Badge Parking for Tollcross International Swimming Centre, Glasgow International Arena and Scotstoun Stadium
Blue Badge parking will be available free of charge at Tollcross International Swimming Centre, Glasgow International Arena and Scotstoun Stadium.
Parking spaces must be booked in advance through our online booking system, which will go live mid-July. In the meantime, we ask that you register your interest in accessible parking using the Contact Form on our website.
Once your parking space has been confirmed, you must ensure that a valid physical Blue Badge is clearly displayed in your vehicle when arriving at the venue.
- Scottish Event Campus (SEC)
For events taking place at the Scottish Event Campus (SEC), Blue Badge parking is available in the SEC Car Park, adjacent to the venue and is operated by Glasgow City Council. Spaces cannot be booked in advance and will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.

A: Due to the limited number of accessible parking spaces available, these spaces are reserved for Blue Badge holders.
Q: What accessible local transport options are available for the competition venues?
A: Please refer to the Spectator Guides, which detail the nearest train stations, walking and wheeling routes and bus stops for each competition venue. These guides will help spectators plan their journey using Glasgow's public transport network.
Q: Are all entry and exit routes accessible at the competition venues?
A: Yes. All entry and exit routes at our venues are fully accessible and step-free. Clear directional signage will be in place and stewards will be available to assist and guide spectators around the venue.
Q: Will there be accessible queuing areas at venues?
A: Yes. All venues feature dedicated Accessible Lanes at the main entrance gates.
These lanes are designed to provide a faster and more comfortable entry experience. They are available to anyone who requires them, including wheelchair users, spectators with limited mobility and individuals with hidden disabilities or sensory needs.
No medical proof or pre-booking required. Simply speak to a steward on arrival, and they will direct you to the appropriate lane.
Q: Is there a Changing Place toilet available at the competition venue?
A: A Changing Places toilet is available at each competition venue. These facilities are located within the spectator plaza or concourse area at each venue. At the Hydro, located on the SEC campus, there is also a Changing Places toilet inside the building.
Our Changing Places facilities offer more space than standard accessible toilets and are equipped with a height-adjustable changing bench and ceiling hoist.
If you require directions on arrival, please ask one of our volunteers or stewards.
Q: Do I need to bring a RADAR key to use the accessible toilets?
A: For most Glasgow 2026 venues, a RADAR key is not required.
The exception is the Scottish Event Campus (SEC), where accessible toilets inside the venue operate using the RADAR key system. If you do not have your own key, stewards will be able to unlock the facilities for you.

A: While there is no dedicated quiet room, all Glasgow 2026 venues feature a shared welfare space within the Family Rest Area where spectators can take a break from the noise and crowds.
These multi-purpose spaces are located within the spectator plaza area at each venue and provide seating and separate areas for different users. Please note that these spaces are not soundproof and some background noise should be expected.
No advance booking is required. On arrival, speak to a volunteer or steward who will direct you to the Family Rest Area.
Q: Will sensory bags be available?
A: Yes. Complimentary sensory bags are available to borrow from Information Points at all venues.
Each bag contains a range of sensory items, including tactile fidget tools. Noise-cancelling ear defenders for adults, children and babies are also available to borrow.
All items are provided free of charge. We kindly ask that they are returned before you leave the venue.
Q: Are assistance dogs permitted in venues?
A: Yes. Trained assistance dogs are permitted in all public areas of Glasgow 2026 venues.
To help us provide suitable seating, please let us know if you will be bringing an assistance dog when registering your tickets or by completing the Contact Form at least five working days before your visit.
Handlers are responsible for ensuring their dogs are healthy, well-behaved, toilet trained and under control at all times.
In exceptional circumstances, Glasgow 2026 reserves the right to require the removal of an assistance dog where there is a clear and evidenced risk to health, safety or event operations.

Q: Is there storage for buggies and prams, and can I take it to my seating area?
A: For safety reasons, prams, pushchairs and strollers cannot be taken into seating areas.
Dedicated buggy storage facilities are available at every venue free of charge. On arrival, please ask a volunteer or steward, who will direct you to the nearest storage area.
Please remove all valuables, bags and loose items before leaving your buggy.

Q: Do you provide seats for Carers/Personal Assistants?
A: On booking tickets, one complimentary ticket is available per eligible accessible ticket holder. Companion tickets can be requested after checkout via the Contact Form. Companion tickets will be allocated with standard tickets starting from 9th July.
Q: Will British Sign Language (BSL) interpretation be available?
A: British Sign Language (BSL) interpretation will be available for the Opening Ceremony and Closing Ceremony only.

This service is free of charge and will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. We kindly ask that you return the device to the Information Point before leaving the venue at the end of your session.
Q: Will live audio description be available?
A: Live Audio Description will be provided for the Opening and Closing Ceremonies, as well as selected sports including Athletics and Para Athletics, Track Cycling and Para Track Cycling, Bowls and Para Bowls and Swimming and Para Swimming, to support spectators who are blind or visually impaired. Please visit any venue Information Point when you arrive and our team will provide you with a complimentary headset and receiver kit to hear the live description. This service is free of charge and will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. We kindly ask that you return the headset to the Information Point before leaving at the end of the event.

Q: Are hearing inductions loops available at Information Points?
A: Yes. Hearing induction loops are installed at all Information Points across our venues. To use the system, simply switch your hearing aid or cochlear implant to the 'T' setting when approaching the counter. Each counter is equipped with an active system and will clearly display the international blue-and-white 'T' loop symbol.
Q: Is Wi-Fi available in the venues?
A: No. Public Wi-Fi is not available at Glasgow 2026 venues.
Mobile network coverage is available; however, connection speeds cannot be guaranteed and may be affected during busy periods.
We recommend downloading tickets to your smartphone wallet, saving screenshots of QR codes or printing your tickets before travelling to the venue.
You should also save any essential travel information or venue maps on your device before arrival.
Q: How will the competition venues support neurodivergent spectators?
A: Each competition venue will provide a Family Rest Area, including access to a low-sensory space on a first-come, first-served basis.
These spaces include features such as soft seating, weighted blankets and plants to create a calmer environment.
Sensory bags and ear defenders will be available to borrow from Information Points. Accessible entrance lanes will be available at all venues, and trained volunteers and stewards will be on hand to provide assistance, including recognising Sunflower Lanyards.
Please note that at the Scottish Event Campus (SEC), the Family Rest Area is located outside the competition venue. Re-entry will require tickets to be scanned again and a further security screening to take place.
Q: Will competition venue screens display subtitles or captioning?
A: No. Venue screens are not large enough to display subtitles or captions effectively.
Instead, QR codes will be provided so spectators can access video content on their own devices and use the accessibility settings that best suit their needs.
Assistive listening devices and live audio description headsets (for selected sports) are available from Information Points.
Q: How can I make a complaint about my experience?
